I honestly don't think most americans give a rats ass about north korea. America is not trying to invade north Korea. Trust me if america wanted to do that it would start with missiles launched from half the world away. Then after all your infrastructure was decimated we would just march right in. North Korea couldn't stop america if it really wanted to invade. The fact is American doesn't want to invade north korea. It's just not that important of a country. (Unless you find a bunch of oil. Then you may have a problem) But for the most part. Its all in your head. America doesn't care about you until you start trouble with one of our allies. Japan cares less about north Korea than America does. You have been taught a lie your entire life. We don't care about your country until you start some trouble. In fact im certain that japan isn't interested in anything but selling video games and anime. They aren't trying to invade anyone, unless you consider anime a cultural invasion.

What a load of BS

As a US Marine Corps vet, it was very refreshing to me to see this young officer lavishing praise on American general officers. But I must say, the little time I've spent in the company of colonels and above has always been a pleasure. I have found general officers, on duty and off, to very keen, intense, focused far more on communicating effectively, than on rank and status. In fact, I met generals from one star to four star, and the higher up they were, the more gentlemanly and unassuming they were. But make no mistake: behind the smiles and kind eyes, I could sense powerful intellects whirring and analyzing every scrap of input, as well as keen military minds making value judgements far, far beyond my own meager ken. Generals are very cool.

In terms of grammar this title is a disaster. Did you mean to say "What NK's find shocking when visiting the United States for the first time"? Maybe employ a native speaker to edit these things, or at least mention when you have made a mockery of the language.

The American military is the most powerful fighting force the world has ever seen. Our enemies should be very afraid. Not the North Korean people, though. Our enemies are the politicians and rich people who keep them in poverty and enslaved.

Once, it was snowing while I was in school. My dad randomly took me out of school, citing a doctor’s appointment. As we were through the parking lot, I told him how I didn’t remember him talking about any doctor’s appointment. He said there wasn’t one, only that it was snowing and he wanted to take me sledding.

We all know the North Korean government lies and pressures its people and gives them little freedom of anything. So entrenched in communism these sad fools are. Putting a guy on here being shocked by USA power is no surprise. It’s like a caveman seeing a gun for the first time. We could easily invade and take North Korea. Yet we don’t. We help keep the peace and stay in South Korea and Japan etc as a deterrent to the communists. Our bases in those counties are by treaty. Not occupation. Japan exception after the war. Our history books always paint the Korean and Vietnam conflicts (they were not wars) as a waste of time. Turns out halting communism was great. Vietnam is close to an ally as any communist country could be and I predict it becomes a republic if China invades Taiwan. Doubt it? Soon as the USA and Allie’s pulled out of Vietnam, China invaded that country and was trounced by the battle hardened nva in one month. China is absolutely the aggressor in the region.

I really hate that people have to live like that. I wish some people understood exactly how lucky they are to be born in the US and other countries like it. But especially the US. I did not have it easy by American standards at all. A lot of welfare and government cheese. But the kind of poverty that exists in North Korea makes Southern Appalachia feel like the Ritz.

As an american for all of my life, they (Americans) arent all very great, however i hope all of these people and people who defect from north korea or any country like that to the U.S, i hope they all get great experiences here, and i hope they are respected from citizens

I am impressed by this woman and by some miracle, I hope this gets out to the people who are living in North Korea that will fight against the brainwashing effect.Even if they can`t change things publicly, they can help their children to understand logic, to question their existence to see right from wrong.

She is very level headed. Don't over or under estimate your enemy holds very true. The US Army has many soldiers that were dismissed as small and unimportant. They were the ones saving their units and sticking to their guns against all odds.
